How far in advance should I start setting up my event?
Simple Version:
For stand-alone network events, we recommend you start promoting your event 2 weeks prior to the start date.
For conferences, we recommend setting up your networking sessions along with your content sessions. They'll only take an hour or so to set-up and conferences often like to continue to make tweaks leading up to the conference. Additionally, we ask that you coordinate with us at least 2-weeks in advance if you'd like our help with any integrations.
For internal company events, you can set up your Meetaway the day of the event and even 15 minutes before you want everyone to attend so long as people have the time-slot blocked off ahead of time.
Additional Context
Meetaways are simple and easy to set up. 1st-time organizers might need an hour to set up, giving them time to explore and play with different settings, but once you have run a few events, set-up can be as quick as 10 minutes (perhaps even less if you are utilizing our "Copy Event" feature <link to copy event page>).
We also encourage 1st-time organizers to run a demo event to see and experience our product along with their team. This isn't necessary (and our preview mode makes it possible for organizers to skip attending an event) but experiencing the product as an attendee both gives organizers more confidence in our product and also better understand some of the nuances so they can make the best use of our capabilities.
