Articles on: Conversation & Live Event Settings

Can I give my attendees suggested topics or suggestions for things to talk about?

Yes! In fact, we provide three primary ways for you to address this:

Event Title and Description - Attendees should understand the purpose of the event based on it’s name and event description. This context helps attendees naturally know what to discuss.

Kickoff Video - We encourage organizers to create a kickoff video welcoming their attendees - this is meant to replace having to get up on stage and interrupting everyone’s conversations so you can provide context, set the emotional tone, and perhaps highlight a sponsor. With Meetaway, this also becomes a good place to reinforce suggested conversation topics.

Conversation Objectives - You’re able to add discussion prompts and objectives that are available to attendees while they’re in conversation. This is a good way to direct your attendee’s conversations and encourage them to focus on specific topics or to follow a specific conversation structure (such as, allow one person to ask for feedback for the 1st half of the conversation and then it’s the other person’s turn for the 2nd half).
